Angela Flores Robertson is a proud first-generation Latina from South San Jose, the eldest daughter of Felipe and Estrella, granddaughter of Lilia Ramirez Flores and Josefina Granada Garcia, whose childhood and family roots shaped her deep commitment to service, education, and community. As Chairperson and President of the Joel and Angela Robertson Legacy Foundation, she draws on her lived experience—of straddling cultures, bearing expectations, and growing up resilient—to lead with empathy, vision, and urgency. Under her leadership, the Foundation works to open doors to higher education, empower grassroots initiatives, support changemakers, and invest in youth, especially those who, like her, are walking pathways their parents never had.

A proud University of Kansas graduate and Kansas native, I carry with me deep roots in family, community, and the values that shaped my early years. More than two decades ago, I made the move out west to California, where I now serve as a tech executive at KIOXIA—applying my lifelong curiosity, work ethic, and drive to influence how technology can empower people and transform industries. Alongside my wife Angela, we founded the Joel and Angela Robertson Legacy Foundation, driven by the conviction that opportunity changes everything. Drawing on our own journeys and recognizing how much doors of access, mentorship, and financial support meant in our lives, we’re committed to opening doors for others—through scholarships, community partnerships, and resources for grassroots efforts—so that every child, regardless of where they start, has the chance to thrive. Because when one person is lifted up, the benefits ripple through families, communities, and generations.
